STRENGTH + CONDITIONING CLASSES – NEW TO ROAR ACTIVE COCKBURN!

NEW CLASSES HAVE LANDED
Strength and Conditioning : Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting new offering!

What will the new Strength and Conditioning classes comprise of, how long are the classes?
We are excited to announce that there will be 2 main class types, each 50 minutes in duration:

Strength: Strength is a 50 minute class focused on developing total body strength and robustness. Improve your technique, get stronger and build muscle to support confidence, performance and life outside of the gym. This class incorporates a mixture of traditional strength movements, using barbells, kettlebells and DBs. Movements to expect will be different variations of squats, hinges, pushes and pulls. Programmed in 6-8 week blocks, progress can be tracked using our ROAR Training App and results will start to speak for themselves. If becoming stronger and more explosive is high on your priority list, or simply getting started with your strength journey, this class is for you.

Engine: Engine is a 50 minute conditioning class that aims to enhance your cardiovascular health, developing your body’s ability to work aerobically and anaerobically. Elevate your baseline fitness, improve your ability to recover and further support changes to body composition. The sessions have a big focus on the machines, using bikes, skis and rowers plus a mixture of KBs, Sleds, Carrys and D-Balls to build your work capacity in multiple ways. If bettering your engine is something you want to work on, or simply getting started with some conditioning, this class is for you.

Will the timetable for classes be affected by this change?
Yes, there have been adjustments to the previous Group Fitness timetable to accommodate the new Strength and Conditioning classes, look out for our new S + C Timetable.

These classes sound really good, when do they start?
They’ve arrived! You will now be able to see our S+C classes on our timetable, with classes available to book through the ROAR Active Training App. With classes across the week, what are you waiting for, book in now!

Will the Instructors be the same as the Group Fitness Instructors?
You will see some of the friendly recognisable faces amongst the team of dedicated trainers heading up these classes. Plus, some new faces too!

I am a Premium member, will there be any additional fees for participating in these new Strength and Conditioning classes?
No, the Strength and Conditioning classes will be included in your existing membership at no extra cost, providing you hold a Premium Services membership. The number of classes you can attend are just subject to how many premium credits you have, unless your membership has unlimited S+C built in.

I don’t hold a Premium Service Membership, can I still access these new classes as they sound awesome?
