After proudly sharing our nominations earlier this year, we’re thrilled to announce that ROAR Active has officially been named WA Gym of the Year 2026 at the 2026 Health & Fitness Acknowledgement Awards, presented at the Thrive Gala.
These awards were a huge moment for our team, our coaches and our members. They reflect the community that has helped shape ROAR Active into more than just a gym. Across our four clubs in Perth, we’ve always aimed to create an environment where people feel supported, challenged and motivated to get better together.
Adding to the celebration, Owner and CEO Amanda Munrowd was awarded WA Gym Owner of the Year 2026, recognising her leadership, vision and commitment to building a gym community that genuinely changes lives. Strong leadership sets the standard for culture, coaching and member experience and this recognition reflects the impact she continues to make across ROAR Active.

I’m still pinching myself after being named WA Gym Owner of the Year and ROAR being named WA Gym of the Year for 2026.
With around 750 gyms and fitness studios across Perth, even being nominated was such an honour.
Twelve years ago, Cam and I started Roar with a dream of building a place where people could belong. Today, these awards represent the thousands of members who have trusted us, the incredible team around us who bring Roar to life every day and everyone who has been part of our journey.
What I’m most proud of isn’t the awards themselves. It’s the friendships & families made, the strength that has been built, the lives that have been changed and the community we’ve all created together.
